What were the results? If it was a serious issue that needed treated urgently there is a problem. If it was not then she was prioritised correctly and there's no issue.

Good point although I think that mechanism is rarely used and highly scrutinised when it is. The government has lost several high profile court cases in the last few years which I doubt would happen in a more politicised system.

The case is being heard in the UK so I'm only talking about the UK. Unlike the US, court appointments in the UK are not political and not for a life long term. Even the public image of a judge as being conservative/liberal is not

If a judge can be pressured by the government they're political. Judges (in the UK) have nothing to gain by being political. They aren't elected politically, the roles are based on merit.

It's a human rights issue. The US doesn't have a very good record. The most usual scenario in which this comes up is in extradition cases where the person involved could face the death penalty (of life imprisonment I think too). I

It looks to me like this was just a standard rejection and appeal. Some human reviewer noticed the app was technically potentially breading the guidelines and flagged it. The developer appealed and another more senior reviewer reversed the

Interesting shift in strategy. Instead of giving the second dose within a few weeks of the first they’re going to allow up to 12 weeks between doses. Allows them to get more widespread level of some protection with dose 1 before later boost

1. What do you mean by victim? Death? If so, my point was about hospitalisations which happens to a larger age range of people. 2. Many countries have tried “shielding” vulnerable people. It hasn’t worked and it’s also incredibly difficult

If enough people choose not to get vaccinated the health system will continue to struggle. In the UK there is now a mammoth backlog of procedures to clear that will take years. This effects everyone, not just the individual.

I’m surprised people in this thread sort of seem surprised about this. It’s only a matter of time before visa approvals are tied to vaccination (or exemption) proof in my opinion. In the case of Spain sharing data with other EU countries th

I agree it's useful for historians but current historians should be responsible for cataloguing the data rather than the company in my opinion. That way when the company goes out of business that data isn't lost.
