Was there frequently while finishing up school last year. Today, I assume we'd need to fill every office in that building with a talented engineer to produce a competitive browser from scratch.

For example, if all objects' properties were immutable after instantiation, could this fact be relied upon to engineer higher performance in JS engines? Just curious.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who felt confused and underwhelmed after reading this piece! I wanted the details.

Design patterns are derived from practice and experience. The linked talk described them as being harvested. It’s easy to note reappearing patterns. It’s difficult to consider a task, identify a worthy pattern, and then “apply” it as if it

Assuming content is rendered quickly and ARIA is somehow employed? I’m asking about totally “pure js” single page applications, and their affordance to SEO and accessibility.

I wonder why we're still programming primarily in text - we ought to see more visual editors that operate on top of a source file, where changes to file sync immediately to editor, and vice-versa. Also, that's the sexiest README I

They’re not chatbots - the replies are too specific and organic in some of the tweets I read. I’m guessing Amazon told these workers that someone would convey their general sentiments on their behalf. That or this is satire, I hope.

I may be young and dumb, but C programming seems very simple and straightforward to me. With abstraction comes lack of knowledge of implementation in favor of ease of use; but in C you can build your own abstractions quickly and reach a lev

I support this. Just integrate typescript into the Ecma standard, add browser support, and create a true improvement to JS.

My suggestion is actually ES6. It clarifies that you're referring to "modern" JS. Also, it will change with every year. Most people are using ES6 as the name anyways - you don't hear "ES6 JavaScript" but only &
