Your font rendering remark stands out as a odd remark. I use Firefox as a daily driver across my own PC (Windows), my work laptop (Mac) and on my phone (Android). Font rendering looks fine across all three platforms. Perhaps it seems better

Interestingly, when we had lockdown in my country I tried using Google Meets in Chrome and it just shat itself. Switched to Firefox and Meets worked so much better in Firefox. Very strange...

These aircraft are always owned by a specific airline and not the alliance itself. Just look closer, you'll see the airline's branding somewhere on the aircraft. The alliance branding is just meant to promote the alliance. These a

Yep. I've booked several flights originally scheduled to be operated by a 737-300 or a 737-400 and had it swapped out for the other on the day (as the airline operated a mixed fleet with both types regularly swapped around to better ma

Not Europe, but here in NZ I find most Apple owners use iMessenger. Android owners seem to prefer WhatsApp. However I'm finding more and more people using Facebook Messenger. As an Android owner I only really SMS with my husband's

SMS is very reliable here in New Zealand, even more so than any IP-based systems. I've had SMS get through easily in one-signal-bar situations where IP data was nearly inoperable (especially if I happened to be attached to a 2G GPRS ce

I have worked both part-time and full-time and honestly I prefer working full time as it feels less stressful. When I am working part-time I have to coordinate heaps more with other staff if they are taking over my role during the times I a

Second the recommendation to stay on Mojave. I do this for my $WORK laptop and it still gets back-ported security updates. $WORK's IT department has advised Apple users to hold off upgrading to 10.15 and it seems they have good reason

Consuming a lot of power could be a show stopper for organisations where lots of staff are on older equipment? Zoom works flawlessly even on older hardware.

Would you suggest organisational video conference meetings of e.g. 25-100 people over Messenger...? There is a niche Zoom is occupying very well.

As someone who prefers BSD, I feel right at home on the macOS command line. Although it has slowly been moving towards Linux, e.g. macOS now defaults to bash for the shell.

Vultr has a POP in Sydney and seem to manage just fine, offering plans similar to DO. I like DO but as I'm based in New Zealand, it's a no brainer to go with Vultr due to their Sydney POP.
