Love these sorts of tools that don't require login or registration, and are usable immediately! Great job.

Only real bug that annoys me in Catalina is the OS switching around the external screens when I dock my MacBook. I have 2 monitors connected, and almost every morning, after docking, I have to go into System Preferences and drag them around

They're just too greedy, and produce way too much in hopes of selling it because they must increase growth. Pretty simple, really. Luxury brands have shot themselves in the foot. Because of this greed, people are now used to 70% (or mo

Skimming through this article, while all these IE features are cool, they seem to have been created with no common strategy or goal other than to make something that another MS team thought useful, like MSXML for the Outlook Web Access team

The way I see it, password auth for db servers is the last-resort protection mechanism. If you get to the point where it’s what’s protecting your data, you’re already fundamentally screwed.

Tried to download it for macOS. It displayed a license agreement/download page in Polish (I assume.) My browser language is English, and I'm in Denmark. Maybe some other day.

Thanks! I've been reading and writing English since I was about 10 years old, and I really like writing, so that might have something to do with it. I think that are various levels of proficiency, but in general, most Danes have a very

I feel like Hacker News main purpose isn't a news aggregator anymore, it's turned in to a place to test the usability of your Web site with the kinds of people who run NoScript or browse with a terminal.

It's tiring to work with developers who have a very narrow focus on "correctness" and e.g. code style. It can result in a lot of extra work, extra refactoring, extra cleanup, extra rewrites, etc. It's how you end up with

Re: blood pressure meds; this is common knowledge. Look at beta blockers; they're commonly used for people with presentation anxiety for e.g. exams. Some people can barely speak without taking them.

I think the UI looks great on Retina displays. The main point for me is the smoother fonts. It's extremely crisp. I also loved the Windows 2000-style UI which was almost pixel perfect. I guess that's why I love Apple's new d

I was having the same thoughts. Most of what I've used Archive for is to look up e.g. old blog posts for personalities that show their hypocrisy compared to today, for example. Or someone posted something daft when they were 15 and the
