There is no denial that the author had an unpleasant experience, but it is nowhere close to what a real-life sexual assault feels like. If I was the author I would choose different words to describe the experience out of respect of people w

Started learning Haskell just a couple of weeks ago. My only complaint with the language so far is that I cannot have the same name for a field in two records in the same module. Other than that it is amazing the confidence it gives me; if

Unfortunately corporate bullying is a new trend seen more and more frequently. We should be very careful in our choice of companies we choose to interact with.

Aside from politics, the hexagon pattern looks nice, but how is he planning to manage traffic at the points of intersection? A 3-way traffic light will create terrible traffic jams.

It is something I am writing, then selecting-all and applying auto-indentation. `onEmailChange` doesn't even have an open or close curly bracket, it is the indentation format that is confusing us. Below is the same code indented by VS.

Ops, you are right. That example was because of the "sane indentation" plugin, that I installed in the hope to get better indentation. Below is an example where plain Atom, without plugins, doesn't get indentation right (noti

It just isn't able get indentation right. For example, just a random snip out of a random file: let tree = root.render({state: store.getState(), push: store.push}) let rootNode = createElement(tree) let oldRootNode = docume

I want to like Atom but I find the indentation problems make it unusable for code for me. I really wish the would focus on fixing that before adding more secondary features.

OK. That was the point that I was trying, and miserably failing, to make. That they should cut resources from all the other, non-core projects, before cutting from Firefox.

OK, I chose Rust just as an example. We can pick another one, something more obvious like Firefox OS.

If Mozilla wants to lower their engineering costs, wouldn't it make sense to start cutting back on projects like Rust? Don't get me wrong, Rust is an amazing project and I am happy it exists and grateful for their work on it, but

I agree, if you ignore classes, prototypes and 'this', js makes for an excellent functional language.

I was put off by their TextField implementation. Their oversized <input> element doesn't play well with browsers, eg. the browser's auto-complete looks completely out of space.

Will definitely give it a try. Looks really promising, and love the low prices. PS: Your front page has a tiny bit of horizontal scrolling. Have a look at your CSS.

I was not trying to defend FB, but rather suggest that people should use open alternatives, as problems like this will always be there with FB. PS: I just meant to put emphasis on the company , not shout.

Lots and lots of people seem to forget: Facebook is an American COMPANY. It is not a utility, it is not a non-profit organization. People choose to use it, and hence they have to put up with their rules. If they don't like it, they sho
