Congrats to Convore on the launch, I've been using it almost since its inception and it's become a staple of my communication platforms.

... why is this being reposted? It's old, really old, like 2 years old (or 317 internet years). Scott apologized, took down the original (this is someones backup of it), he and Jesper made up, drank some scotch (or maybe it was whiskey),

Just playing with it it feels great, one pony request: make it easier to just open a folder. When just trying out an editor I don't care to setup projects and whatnot, I just want the codebrowser to be rooted at some project dir on my syst

Yes, it probably is. It's a bit of a chicken and egg situation though, everyone who knows RPython well enough to make the changes can already understand the errors just fine.

cx_Oracle is py3k compatible. I'm really confident we'll have Django running on py3k by the end of the summer, hopefully I'll have something exciting to announce about this coming up, but if not I'll just dedicate my summer to it.

2 reasons IMO: 1) We don't have Python3 support yet, we're working towards it, but we're behind some. Have the reference implementation be a regression over the previous one doesn't make much sense. 2) We don't have enough users. And honor

Yup, statutory damages for copyright infringement suck for individuals, but for someone like Google they're not awful (AFAIR it's something like $7,500 or $150,000 depending on something per count).

Damn, I thought needing something like 3GB to compile PyPy on 64-bit put us in some class on unreasonable usage, interesting to see that it's apparently not so crazy for large projects.
