Most teachers are still working doing online learning though, which why I stated they'd prefer to be in the classroom. Online learning is all the worst parts of teaching with very little of the joy. Sure, if someone wanted to pay me to

It does seem that way, and I hope it remains so. The demographics have shifted younger. I do worry about my parents, grandparents and friends who have preexisting conditions and the increase risk with so many more cases around.

Most teachers would rather be in the classroom than do online learning. They'd also like people to be safe. The issue comes with trying to force kids to wear masks when so many parents are against them in many places, maintain social d

Maybe the issue lies more in your first statement that children need to go somewhere. That's a fairly modern notion. If we've created a society where we rely on strangers to care for our kids, then maybe that's something that

Not even remotely true. The West has myriad choices to choose from in comparison. I don't think you understand how in sync the media is there. They'll literally run identical stories at the same time on every major network, and pu

Well, being good and for the public good are separate concepts in my mind. That aside, you never addressed the smoking, seatbelt or helmet laws with regard to adults. Permissible or not?

I assume you're also against seatbelt and helmet laws. What about those laws applying to children? What about smoking laws? The US already has numerous laws that few people complain about because they've come to recognize them as

That people consider civil unrest because they're told to wear masks for a few months in order to prevent countless deaths is more a sign of a broken culture than anything else.

It's not dangerous at all. The US already has helmet laws for motorcycles and kids on bikes, seatbelt laws, gun laws around safe use and numerous other laws that prevent people from inadvertently affecting others lives. Making people w

If they had made it a temporary law and fined people heavily at the very beginning it would have saved thousands of lives and jobs. Look at the countries that acted swiftly back in January and February.

At what point do we stop wasting time and energy trying to build better tools to catch cheaters and start focusing on building a better system of education and assessment? If a kid can cheat, pass, get a degree and go out and not fail in th
