But some of this terrifies me - "allowing users of government services to identify themselves simply and definitively" sounds like an ID card online. What they're promising is a decent single sign on service like Google/Yahoo/MSN. It's a

As far as I know the use of the term "Open Source" intelligence in the military has no link to Open Source software.

It's not open source though. It's an open standard listing (all?) the items that one could access using Bloomberg's internal standardised naming scheme from a Terminal.

Well the Apple App Store problems were merely procedural issues whereas the Adobe issues are technically difficult problems that haven't been solved well by anyone and aren't helped by platform/codec war politics.

To play devil's advocate a little bit it's funny how all the negativity is now focused on Adobe when not many months ago it was all focused on Apple's App Store policy.

Good info, however CacheFly plans seem to top out at 1,200 GB/month (unless you want to pay overages), this seems really low. That's because if you want more than 1200GB it's not unreasonable to have a tailor-made quote. (e.g. with geogr

Does streaming video work under HTML 5 specs? Yes. Not within ogg/theora it doesn't because there's no way of signaling the correct amount of data to buffer as used in the buffering mechanisms of modern video codecs.
