I agree with you. Being a former heavy vim user, now using Emacs, I miss vim every day. Spaceemacs wasn't for me, so I now have a modified Emacs Prelude. I was more effective with vim, but Emacs being a lisp is just hard to beat for me

Sorry for nitpicking. People claiming to be Satoshi did so and didn't sign. It could be the real deal, or not. Maybe I wrote all of those, and just typed "Satoshi" in the "from" field? I also want to believe, but

No, vim does not have anything that comes close to the killer feature (and only good feature) of Emacs: lisp.

States are too small. In the information age, governments are (still) limited by territory while information knows no borders. That is why twitter is larger than any governments own social network can ever be. Steam & petrol engines mad

Hmm slavery is having people work against their will. Paying people a (low) salary for working is not illegal.

I have 0 faith in governments both for understanding and acting properly in the information age. They have time and again acted bad, and seem to not even understand the medium with they try to regulate. In the information age, power does no

Golang devs should have a look at Clojure and it's `core.async` library. It works very similarly to Go (heavily inspired by the good stuff), but all data structures are persistent, meaning you will never have problems with concurrent m

Being able to manipulate these from JS would be great. Then compile-to-js languages (Clojurescript & Elm) can use their (better) programming model for styles as well.

For debugging I use the debugger that comes with CIDER. It is the simplest debugger I've ever used, on par with edebug. Honestly wondering: what do you wish for in clj debugging?

Isn't this problem directly related to mutating things in memory, rather than having the UI components each be pure function?

Am I the only one amazed by what the Clojure community and core team are conjuring up? Doing client-side programming with things like CLJS, Figwheel, Reagent and core.async feels miles ahead of what we have in moden-js-land (es6/7, bab
