It’s worth noting that even though the 717 was first released in the late 90’s it isn’t a case of Boeing innovating since it’s just a rebadged MD-95 which was developed by McDonnell-Douglas

Yep. It’s tied to U.S. housing subsidies. Basically the Federal Government wants people to own their own home so they subsidize home loans. But to help prevent people from using the subsidies for 2 houses or rental properties they require y

Most loans are based on owner occupancy so the bank (really the Federal Government) will require that you are going to live the in house “immediately” to qualify for a better rate.

One tip, when you up vote or down vote a link is added to the comments header. It will either be “unvote” or “undown” depending on whether you up or downvoted the comment.

But that’s still 25% of the original security... I get that it’s meaningless - 4x effectively 0 is still effectively 0 - but denying the math doesn’t really help anything.

This is probably a stupid question, but how is "ground speed" measured? Is it how quickly the airplane moves past a fixed point at it's altitude, or along the earth's surface? I.e. the plane is effectively moving along t

Yep, my recollection (from stories on-line) is that there was a debate within the team between launching with 3rd party apps or limiting most third parties to web apps. That debate was settled when they realized that they wouldn't be

Little of both. The SSD is a very fast 1TB model running on Apple’s custom controller (so you can’t just compare to a random one on Amazon). It’s also an obscenely high priced upgrade. Probably more column B (expensive) than A (good)

I really don’t like that plan. It may not be bad, depending on what the noise is, but unless it’s done well it will be a new, annoying sound that I have to hear all the time. I don’t see the safety benefits either. Cars going less than 20 m

No, you could see those ratios with net income or profit but revenue is simply numUnitsSold*avgSellingPrice. It doesn’t take unit costs into account.

But revenue is not profit. If units are up 10% and revenue is up 25% then there must have been an increase in average selling price. That alone doesn’t tell us anything about whether profit went up or down.
