Is being centerless really such a bad thing? Then again, I really haven't experienced the concept at a fundamental, spiritual level, only intellectually; I don't really meditate. Maybe there's something deep in our wiring (pr

I don't see how this is an example of that? Saving fuel and reducing wear on the parts is a good thing. In this case, nobody's lives were in danger either.

I managed to compile and run a hello world C program (it might've actually been B?) using ed on an old school Research Unix machine they had. I also remember messing with the shell on an even older Unix machine that had an actual telet

I'm much much younger than John23832, but I definitely recognized a lot of the same in some of the gaming communities I was a part of in the mid to late 2010s. There wasn't quite as much racism (at least in the places I hung out),

The solution to that is to use evil mode, which is a very good Vim emulation layer for Emacs. Doom Emacs comes with it enabled by default.

Maybe this struck a nerve because I'm an American born-and-raised PoC, but frankly I believe this is a bad opinion that is often pushed by racists (even if the idea itself isn't necessarily inherently racist). Heightened social tr

This isn't actually that bad if you want wok hei, you can't easily get it on consumer gas stoves either. You can use a blowtorch to get a similar effect as the flames from a high powered burner licking up the sides of the wok [1].
