Vue (and React) aren't compilers like Svelte. The real advantage of using a compiler is that more complicated state changes can be instrumented without hacky introspection, which is probably why Svelte feels cleaner. The big tradeoff i

Also to OP, definitely just try it before you knock it. I also thought Peloton was kind of silly then one day I had the opportunity to actually try it. I wouldn't say it fits in my workout plans, but it was fun and it was a workout. I

My phone drained faster than it could charge with a laptop USB C charger and modern phone supporting fast charge. I eventually relented and just got a webcam, but it was a nice idea to have one fewer gadget.

But despite not using it every day, you'd probably be able to refresh on it pretty quickly. I've found that to be the real value for a lot of the courses I took. Sure, I don't actively remember the content or use it daily,

I don't think that's fair. HAProxy is good and reliable. It's just old for the use cases we need today. Even the article has this opinion: > While HAProxy has served us well and reliably for many years, it also has some op

API design is a great example of this. Good API design incentivizes the right choices and clean integration. I often argue that it's not just "oh this API matches the spec better" or "this API is lower maintenance"

Hi HN! I was eagerly waiting for my package, so I built a tracking API. UPS, USPS, and FedEx all have their own APIs, however they're fraught with complexity and the truly riveting world of PDF-based documentation. There are other solu
