I recently started a vanilla js project and I've gotta say I'm pretty happy with it. Granted, it's sitting on top of an Electron + Webpack stack so I don't have to worry about compatibility, but hey, small victories, and

Typescript also orders its parameters this way. Between all the Rust and Typescript vs Java and C++ code I've written, I really haven't found that either is better than other, it just seems like a largely arbitrary choice. Making

Wow this is pretty cool! Seems like a great tool to throw onto an existing CMS, allowing clients to retain the flexibility of editing their website directly. Does this deal with/forward dynamic content on the same domain? Or do admin p

This feels a little nitpicky/idealistic, I don't think the post does a good job of conveying why it's more beneficial. > This means that the vertical offset of names stays consistent, regardless of whether a type annotatio

Oof, I feel that. Any ideas towards improving focus on more difficult efforts? I end up with a lot of unfinished tasks and it's been notably counterproductive.

Have you gotten HeidiSQL to work well with PostgresQL? I really like it back when I used MySQL, but it's absolutely rife with bugs in its PostgresQL adapter with constant crashes and invalid queries being generated. It's so bad th

It's more of a network effect though that keeps me using prettier. These days I end up using prettier in codebases so my code looks like everyone else's, not just so it's self-consistent. It just makes it easier to read. You&

Same, I don't mind having an alternative to webpack, but competing against prettier is going to be an uphill battle.

I used to be a big fan of the 8-point grid layout, but I think sticking to it too rigidly makes my pages feel too "perfect" and makes it less organic. A little bit of deviation from the grid makes the page more lively and approach
