I've done hackathons by having everyone ssh (and by extension, vscode remote ssh) into a shared virtual machine. It's way faster than any version control. A lot less safe, but a lot more fun.

While it's cool, this also sure seems like a great way to use a zip file exploit since I definitely unpacked this without thinking twice. A writeup would be neat, would love to see how this was done.

I think it's hard to really understand the attack without seeing the code, but listening on a port (at least the chunk of code rendered in the article) is not sufficient to make the machine accessible on the internet unless the wallet

The inverse isn't really implied in the statement. In other words, a world where every day is enjoyable without a having a game doesn't violate the sentiment. That seems like a more generous formulation.

Then what's your incentive to work at the company instead of starting the project externally? If the product is a sustainable business model in isolation, surely it's sustainable without the external resources.

This article is such a stark contrast from the GraphCast AI weather model they released [1]. The latter focused so much on the tech and what it does do, whereas this article buries the tech in a bunch of fluff about what it could do. Can yo

It could be something like data := io.ReadAll(zd) ?: return nil, fmt.Errorf(...) like in Kotlin. I think this likes to encourage overly-long lines though, I'm personally happy with Go's error handling today.

It's an approximation. The sentence is perhaps confusing since it might imply that n! ≈ 10^n but that's not the case, the article uses 24 and 25 as the cut point where the approximation is true. The linked post is more informative
