Since no one else commented on that yet; I just wanted to say that I like the simple layout OP is using. Not much clutter & straight to the point. Loads fast and it’s under 630KB. Could certainly be improved but it’s nice not having to

This is what I’d like to see; Require all Apps distributed via their AppStore to conform to their requirements regarding privacy and whatever else they want like they are doing right now. Apps can and should get kicked out of their store i

Some other thread yesterday linked to ungoogled chromium [1] which sounded like a good idea to me but in practise I'd have to build it myself which Im not really comfortable with. I'd probably get it to run but it would need more

I think I already saw this a few (>6) months ago on reddit, have you changed/improved anything in the meantime?

I would not, in any way, consider this a backup. If it’s only 300GB check out Backblaze B2. It would cost you $1.5 per month for that amount of data.

Small correction; that limit is per user not per account! You need 5 users for GSuite Business, if you use those alone the limit is now 3750GB/day

Ist there already 2FA for that? You need to know the password and be in possession of a device already trusted to confirm a new device, right?

Search the forum. If I remember correctly it’s about validation and scalability. I don’t believe they ever gave a good reason not to.

Can someone else aside fom the data subject file a GDPR request to companies? If so it would be easy to just request reports from companies and compile them to some friendlier format.

I’m assuming you’re just joking but think about location tracking the next time you want to attend some demonstration for example. Should be perfectly legal to demonstrate but if you’ve got you’re phone on you someone will know you were the

You can turn off the collection of location data for Google. [1] You can also delete old location data. Google is saying that they won’t collect location data unless you opt-in but I’d assume most people just click on “Okay” once when asked

Afaik you don’t have to be using Maps for Google to track your location. If you have location tracking turned on in your Google account and are for example logged into android Google will get your GPS even if you’ve never used Maps.

Thanks for the input. I personally love it, plus it saves energy! Once I figured out a good way to let my users change from Night Mode (dark bg) to Day Mode (white bg) without any scripts I plan to implement that as an option.

I‘m assuming Outline is blocking domains (nytimes.com comes to mind) when those publications ask to be excluded.

I liked the idea but have to say I’m not a fan of your design. It just feels a little rough. Also I expected comment chains to be collapsible. I also experienced long load times for articles (>5s, some >15s) which is way to long. The

I love Outline but it seems to me that more and more websites are being excluded from it. Does anyone know if there’s a preferably open source alternative available that I could host on my own server?

For blockquotes I personally favor a small 3px border-left thats preferably colored. It provides a clear visual separation from the main content and most people are accustomed to seeing a border-left as a quote from their usage in email rep

Thanks for the answer! I feel like I should state that I’m against all data caps. Where I live we don’t have data caps on home connections and it’s somewhat affordable to get unlimited LTE SIM’s (about €80/US$90). I don’t see why there

I’m using Bitwarden [1] and am happy with their product. It’s open source and you can self-host it quite easily if you don’t want to use their cloud. They do have a free tier and a premium one for $10/year. It’s been a while since I se
