It is, but it's not so hard that you can't figure it out to keep your 15 billion safe.

It boggles my mind that people like this don't set up multi-sig wallets using hardware devices that are physically not in the same location.

Unless the criminals used the Lightning Network of course, not likely though since the amount is so large.

That doesn't appear to be how they seized the funds though, the criminal hasn't been caught so they must have hacked his devices to gain access to the private keys. No $5 wrench involved.

He's talking about Nostr here, not mastodon.

Yeah, although I would argue that there are far fewer moving pieces in Nostr than there are in ATProto and that's part of why it's so simple - it's just clients and relays. That's it! Edit: another thing I thought about

That's not an issue with Nostr, it's an issue with the client that they decided to link to. Here's the content loading just fine in Primal: https://primal.net/e/nevent1qqsqfeuezj38syyppscdpu0c0zwermxl...

This so much. ATProto just seems so complicated in comparison.

There's also the new MCP that helps LLMs fix their own errors, give it a whirl: https://svelte.dev/docs/mcp/overview

You might be happy to hear that we're releasing a new version of the Svelte Society website to make it easier to find packages and other resources. We're currently migrating data and fixing bugs but if you want to give it a whirl

Svelte was pretty much stable between 2019-2024, of all the frameworks it probably changed the least. It's only with the recently released Svelte 5 version that things changed a bit. You have a point but you're giving Svelte unfai

Isn't the solution to the identity problem of domains just to use public/private key pairs like Nostr does?

I've heard this multiple times but I don't know what clients do that? Most allow you to click something akin to the Following tab, just like Twitter, BlueSky, or what not. Are you asking for an application that does not have other

Fair enough. But it is a more complicated protocol that, I feel, makes it a lot harder to diversify and build different applications on.

...and this is why Nostr is different! You can build basically anything on it. A blog, a Twitter like application, a streaming service, messaging apps, the sky is the limit! Here's a selection of things built on the protocol: https:&#

You mean Qwen 32b fine-tuned on Deepseek :) There is only one model of Deepseek (671b), all others are fine-tunes of other models

Something similar was built way back in 2013 inspired by Bitcoin: https://github.com/miguelfreitas/twister-core

I do have to ask - why don't you want to use SSR just because it's an internal application? For the new Svelte Society website we're SSR:ing everything (even the Admin dashboard). Being able to use form actions is a god send.

This is not correct, new contracts are not arbitrary. They are determined by the "bruksvärdeshyra". ( https://www.hyresgastforeningen.se/stod-och-rad/hyra/vad-ar-... )

I'd love to hear what the Bluesky team thinks of Nostr. It seems pretty damning to me that a founder of Bluesky is now talking up the latter.

It's not really hard to deploy these things in isolation but Coolify makes it very easy to do it all on the same server. From Git integration with CI/CD in just a few clicks to just random services that you might need for business

Coolify is awesome! We use it for lots of things at Svelte Society. From self-hosting marketing and analytics to running our own Nextcloud instance as well as a bunch of other stuff.

The old one lives at https://sveltesociety.dev - be aware, lots of very old content, but components and packages pages are up-to-date. The new one lives here but is under heavy construction: https://v2.sveltesociety.d
