Yes, that was my hope also. As it becomes more common to not have a cliff. It was just strange that the recruiter couldnt discuss this further or at least give an offer with a nice cash compensation that would be paid out monthly (sort of l

How can you attract the right talent when competing with companies, like Google, Amazon (with their cash bonus payment model to compensate their weird back weighted RSUs) or Netflix being able to hand out offers without any of these risks?

This is good progress. Just two months ago I declined an offer from a known and well funded startup because of a one year cliff on equity. The recruiter didn't seem to be able to discuss this matter and I asked them to make sure to bub

Its complex, for instance one scenario for Europe in the long time is actually a drastic cool down, incl. Something like a possible ice age due to global warming. The gulf stream (of Mexico) is what keeps parts of Europe warm. With melting

Both are Google - from an outside view we shouldn't distinguish. Google should hold itself to a consistent bar. It highlights how divisions operate in silos at Google, and just because Project Zero causes a lot of positive security mar

Agreed, especially Google's comment early December about "holiday seasons" seems strange after not having done anything for 2 months already... When it comes to others (like Microsoft) Google is always quick to publish their

I think online menus are much better and environmentally friendly than physical ones. Really hope many places just stick with online menu - also allows for quick updates and changes. If navigating there is done via QR code, NFC or some othe

I wonder how much longer it will take Boeing to realize the best way forward is to cancel this plane, and start from scratch. This project will just keep costing them money, continue eroding trust and probably more fatalities along the way.

Bad article. Probably worth highlighting that I could not find a single direct reference to Neel Kashkar (the person who apparently said that, actually saying that it's a Ponzi scheme. He used "dumpster fire" in past, which i

I think it's part of a general price increase we have/will shortly see everywhere. Although I'm expecting it in many areas, it's still crazy how steep the rise is.

Operation Titan Rain also comes to mind. It was so long ago that hardly anyone knows or talks about the massive IP theft happening late 90s and early 2000s.

The world bank responding to such a request shows how big of a thing Bitcoin has become. It also appears that the concerns are not strong, more wishy-washy comments that could be disputed or clarified eventually. Wonder what they say if

Chances of Bitcoin being still around in 10 years and valued accordingly are a lot higher than 1%. The first 10 years were way more difficult and challenging. The market will chose, some governments will try to fight it, but its much easier

What is interesting here is that the hackers actively describe and share how they broke in, rather then EA setting the narrative. This isn't very common I think.
