Interesting that the SEC didn't know while probably everyone in in the world knew at least since 2017 that graphics cards are hard to buy because of the cryptomining demand. Maybe one these things that are so obvious and hence not expl

I, as my others, tried to explain that this is not small labor. Please read the many comments related to this post before making such a incorrect statement. If majority of games won't be around in 10-20 years, then it's a pretty g

Good! Now can Google please also respect the DNT header and automatically reject all cookies if present? That would demonstrate real leadership and putting the user experience first.

This is very bad news for indies, and will help large companies push them out. I have games in AppStore not updated for many years. They work well on all devices, I also consider them to be a piece of art. And feedback is very positive! Get

I thought at first this is a joke, but no. It should be called the Windows 10 Spy Edition - removing/replacing crypto so it can be decrypted by the government... Something like this should get a lot more attention and Satya Nadella sho

Fair point, but it wouldn't be banned because of some other unrelated activity. Much more isolated implications that way.

And the risk that Google AI decides you are not worthy, your account is deactivated and you loose access to this in the same second. Centralization with no accountability besides blaming things on AI is problematic.

So weird - I switched jobs recently and it was with zero interview preparation and I had competing offers from fang. I feel quality of engineers hired there is dropping.

For anyone interested, there are a few more projects with similar capabilities to look at: - Bad-bpf: https://github.com/pathtofile/bad-bpf - Offensive BPF: https://embracethered.com/blog/posts

I doubt it would have to be used that much, and results are questionable and even malicious at times. So, not sure if that makes people working at AI at Facebook that great...

Seems about right, their strategy is pay AI people a lot of money to drain the market and prevent innovation - it kinda sucks.

They are pretty top notch though- and also in a different field rather than ads - that alone makes them innovators. Also, doesn't Karpathy work at Tesla?

I have seen a lot of places, yet not a single one that runs all the latest software everywhere all the time. This is even true for smaller pieces of software like Linux kernel.

How would say this is whistleblowing - why does he nor argue that way? His actions are for the publics favor and interest - considering how much Okta lied about all of this.

Agreed. Microsoft is really good at back compatibility - sometimes even to a fault. It also seems Microsoft sometimes is held to a higher standard when it comes to supporting products long after they are out of service. Compare that to Goog
