In the tech industry it's become common that companies like Facebook pay an insane amount of money to starve the competition out of talent. It's very bad for consumers and innovation. So maybe not just MBAs, but who knows maybe MB

Europe isn't that different and its quickly getting worse in nearly every country, and of course also beyond country borders with things like Brexit.

This is really scary. It's so unpredictable what one actually has to pay, especially for a small business moving to the cloud is much more challenging then it should be. When creating resources it's really unclear what one might b

There is only one rating higher at Microsoft I think. So important is actually pretty bad, but agreed it should get their critical rating according to their own scale.

Appstore distribution seems a simple problem compared to becoming a payment provider. Payment infrastructure is a lot more complex and difficult to implement, and it also needs integrations.

Many purchases are virtual goods these days even. Its difficult to understand how anyone could argue that Apple is not exploting this situation, its gross and pretty unethical

I walked over 1000 miles already in 2020. I mean dedicated walking miles, not regular movement. I only discovered the joy of long walks this year. I used to drive to mountains for a hike on weekends, but now I just go out the house for a wa

Curious, I never want to fly in one of these. How can one achieve that in a realistic way? Let's say airline changes plane after I booked, then I wouldnt get a refund. Is there a solution to this?

I really haven't faced many.. anything significant is usually fixed by the framework. Maybe more iOS specific bugs are introduced when doing iOS specific development (like using iOS tooling and techniques).

You only need it for compiling. There are plenty of cross platform frameworks that dont require to develop with xcode - and that's good in my opinion. I built all my apps this way and faced the same problem as OP - so had to buy a Mac

I dont like Office 365, but its lightyears ahead of GSuites. Just look at GMail - it can't even handle threads and mail is commonly all messy and unreadable when multiple people start replying. Generally for anything slightly complex G

So many things in the blog post I didn't know - but fascinating and makes you think.... it's like the Spaniards and Portugese would have adopted Native American religions at one point.

Alcohol surpresses it - so maybe high was the wrong word, hence I put it in quotes- you are not high from alcohol, just numb I guess.

I think alcohol supresses/alters your default state (gets you "high" so to speak). Then when you become sober things are back to normal - which initially is scary but one soon adjust to it again.

Seem a bit inflexible from Project Zero, given that Github has already disclosed it anyway. Why didnt they disclose earlier even? Seems like program part could need some updates, a few things don't make sense here.

I might be one of the lucky ones who never bought into the Google eco-system - even still have a Hotmail email address and it's getting cool again now that many are getting more upset with Google and their business model.

1-2% of page views is pretty massive! Consider adjusting this number to remove any Google sites that are viewed (to remove Google's own bias/quasi browser monopoly) - and it probably goes up a lot more even.

Wow, why is a question downvoted? Sorry, I really don't know if Nest Secure is what everyone calls Nest or not. Instead of downvoting a simple yes or no would have been more helpful for me. I still don't know the answer by the way
