I have to agree with you. The title itself feels like the author's taking a biast stand that s/he wants to vent. But the article itself is completely indecisive. Almost as if the author wants to speak ill of Chinese hands in Australian s

Most people would say that it's the social aspect of schooling that he's missing. Somehow I disagree. I get the feeling that this kid would either be bullied or teased for being a "nerd". At least in this college, he'll be able to intera

I totally agree. I live in Australia, and I didn't realise this until I went to India a little while ago. The fruit there seemed smaller, but far, FAR more tastier. So it's not just the looks, but also the size that seems to matter in Aust

I totally agree with the vertical alignment of labels, as it does actually make user input faster. The problem (mentioned in the article) is when the page becomes too long. Clients don't tend to like this. One approach I normally use is t

This looks amazing! Any idea when it'll be releasing in Australia? There are some crazy origami experts in Japan. I hope that at least one of them make an appearance in this documentary.

It really irks me when I hear comments like this. It seems as if MS can't win as far as some people are concerned. I think this is a great article that demonstrates MS's commitment and enthusiasm to pushing their browser forward.

I agree with you. This article mentions Java and C++ as languages that have become too complex, but without actually stating what this complexity is. Maybe it's just the summary-like nature of the article, but it talks as if we're all mean

Are there any coffee-drinking Sydney hackers here? If so, any recommendations for great coffee around here? I've been to Campos (the Newtown cafe) and it's amazing, but a little hard to get to. http://www.camposcoffee.com.au/ Not sure o

On a related note, I'm having a strong urge to buy the latest Sony Viao X notebook (netbook?). It looks awesome, it's thin and light as hell, fast (with an SSD harddisk), and from what I've read it even works well with Ubuntu. However, I ju

Towards the latter portion of the article he talks about cross-platform development. Though I agree that this would somehow get reduced, I can't help but feel that this would also have some good points. The write-once, run-anywhere ideals

I often see programmers with a C/C++ background enter the Java world using Yoda conditions, where such practices serve no use. I used to work with a guy who insisted on using yoda conditions, "just to be sure". This guy would also make sur

One of the main reasons why that screenshot looks good is due to the fonts you're using, which are good fonts (presumably from MS Windows). Good fonts always make a massive difference in terms of screenshots.

I know that this might sound like an attack, but it's not. I'm just asking out of curiosity: If you want to code in Java, there are highly sophisticated IDEs you can download and code in for free (eg - eclipse). The same for Mac (Xcode).
