1024x1024 seems rather low res even by 2006 standards. Any idea what special/expensive/practical reason it needed to be that low res?

If drones could build themselves, program themselves charge themselves etc.. then maybe it would be one or the other. For the time being someone needs to do those things so while it might be autonomous as far as flying goes there is still m

There is no reason why it would be any more difficult to certify then Airware. The 3DR stuff is already more then capable todo the task and 3DR sells in the commercial space. Source: I've personally done multiple long range (many miles

Circa 2009 I did this with a G5 Tower (Purchased on eBay for about $60) which was the same design except for some internal differences in mounting. The trick is you buy a PC motherboard mounter intended to be used to make custom cases and y

If you're in the Bay Area and interested in FPV racing there are monthly events where you can go and race on a course. Game of Drones setup the last one I went to (Came in 3rd Place!)

This is clearly the operators fault you're not supposed to fly over people, period. The majority of incidents of this type involve consumer level drones (DJI Phantoms are over represented with stupid people doing stupid things) Once yo

I think that if cars were invented today they would most likely be made illegal due to the potential for death (40k/year in the US). Aside from a handful of freak accidents drones don't kill people yet there are a great many peopl

Imagine This: Drones could fly over medians of surface streets so if they do fall the only thing they are likely to hit is a car or a very, very unlucky pedestrian with some additional hardware and a connection to ATC (Think ADS-B 2.0) you

I fly and build a great many multi rotors and planes myself. And with current tech you can have it land itself when it gets to a certain voltage. No reason to have it falling out of the sky due to a dead battery.

This is just my opinion, but If you're asking questions that can be found in "interview prep books" you're doing it wrong. Why not just ask questions that can be found by you know.. actually having experience developing

I recall back in 2010 I saw job postings looking for a minimum 5 years experience writing iOS Apps. Never mind that the iOS SDK was only two years old at that point. #sigh

By telling the investors that while it may look like a sock now, later it'll be a sock puppet and you can sell tickets to the show due to the network effects.

I'm not sure they would be able to hit something as small as a nano sat with a missile. The X-37 could do it but that's expensive unless you really, really don't want whatever the satellite is doing to continue.
