Because in the typical Docker workflow, developers (who often use OS X) build container images on their computers. Anyway, boot2docker works really well nowadays. Even individual port forwarding has been eliminated by using a virtual IP add

I'd also consider it very important to be able to run Docker on any host - for instance a small VPS server that only has its own single IP address.

It's always a little bit harder to learn an existing framework than to just write your own stuff from scratch to suit your project. But the former is pretty much guaranteed to be more productive than the latter.

I always find it silly, when sorting Amazon search results by avg. customer review, that the top results are the ones with just 1-2 reviews and 5 stars. It's pretty unhelpful.

I've had similar problems googling for Cocos2d help. OTOH, because you can run the CocosBuilder-generated game in the browser, it is very easy to experiment in the JavaScript console and figure out how the various JavaScript bindings o

I'm curious about the decision to not use Cocos2d, which would include a nice GUI for quickly designing 2D game scenes (CocosBuilder). Are there any particular downsides to it, or was it just not considered at all? My own experience wi

I'm very happy that there are several active open source projects to choose from. I get a similar impression of Meteor vs. Derby as I get from Rails vs. Django. (To me, their difference is about productivity vs. flexibility, although IMHO R
