Ha! Joke's on them. I type it out so it makes it look like I'm doing more work. (But in all seriousness, I normally do type it out, so it forces me to remember what I'm using better.)

This has always been the case. Book publishers can refuse to publish your manuscript, newspapers don't have to post your reply. Censorship in one form or another has always been there.

This is my fear. C# keeps adding things to appeal to a different user base. What I've seen (anecdotally) is that most C# devs don't know or don't use the new features. This pretty much means they are useless to me, because

I don't disagree. I am merely commenting on the idea of funds meant to keep people from starving and mapping where they would be if invested. The fast food worker down from my house is definitely not thinking about "stimulus inv

What I find interesting about this is that is shows the steep divide between financial classes. (Completely by accident mind you). If you didn't need the money and could invest it in a risky strategy which you might lose completely,

C# is definitely not sexy, but it is well documented, and there is plenty of help. I don't see why more companies go this route (not just C#, but any language that fits this). Boring is good when you have a short timeframe and it has

I think this is the most important comment. Most people don't realize until much later, that everything is a trade. This for that. You get an advanced degree at the cost of: higher income? free time? finding the right partner? That

Honestly, not really. It sucks, but from a risk management perspective, less information given out is always better. Was she fired for legit reasons? Who knows. There is no advantage to the employer to give reasons. You can't real

People/Politicians etc. have a long memory. If you think of it as a "treat others how you would like to be treated," eventually it will come down to a situation where Italy or some other EU nation will need assistance. In a

There are still a ton of legacy sites that use it. New development? Don't know, but the last 2 companies I worked for had massive systems written in JQuery.

I used to work as a programmer in this field. I'm torn, on one side the "science" behind it is based on statistics and is supposed to be validated. Your view depends largely on whether you trust the validity of psychometric

I'm not an amazing presenter, but I think I'm ok. People ask me how do I approach giving a talk, etc. I tell them, "It's a performance. You are telling a story. There is emotion involved, both with you and them."

Yes, but I think Amazon differed on 2 key points. 1. You had to go through their order process, talking to someone, completing the ordering process, and then coming back to pick it up. If you live 45 minutes from the book store, that gets

If you are in the U.S. this is absolutely the most important video you can watch. It very clearly details how the system really works, and why it is always bad to talk to the police without a lawyer present. Note I didn't say, "N

Am I correct in saying that if someone can forecast approximately when that will happen, they can short the stock and make money off of the mass selloff? Essentially putting the short sellers back where they started (in a sense)?

I completely agree. Seasons 2,3,4 were great, but the first one was amazing on how it portrayed the feel of the time, the struggle, everything. They could have stopped at season 1 and I wouldn't have been disappointed.

It's a neat idea, but the colors seem off. For example, I search for tomato and I get #DC9385 which is a light rust color(?). Maybe this is just what I think as the color tomato should be is different. I would think a vibrant red. I

This is one reason I hate Scrum. Companies that (I've worked for) have really tried to implement it don't understand that sometimes you just won't be as productive. It's always, "Well you committed to it...."

I think this is the silver lining for this pandemic. Covid-19 is lethal, I'm not discounting that, but in terms of real lethality, this was a good test run to show that this approach works. (At least in my lay person's knowledge.
