I don't know Rails Active Record. But if the ORM is anything like others I am more familiar with (Django / Python or Linq / C#) can't you do a join and just have a single query? Or use raw SQL if performance is an issue?

Actually we have no idea if he is short TSLA. The fact that he has purchased TSLA put options is from the SEC Form 13F which he's required to file quarterly. Short positions (for some reason) are not on the 13F. So he could be long TSL

My first thought is this really needs an A/B test. Instead of just asserting that off-white fields are better than white fields, try it out on a real website and see if the conversion is improved.

Don't know for sure but they might run each one as a separate business but have the parent company guarantee the rent. I don't think many landlords would sign long expensive leases otherwise. [Edit] Actually looks like the parent

The U.S. works the same way. You are taxed on the net short or long term capital gains not on every transaction. So if you made $1000 on one trade and lost $500 on another you would only be taxes on the net $500 profit.
