The older hardware (Intel Xeon X5550) for m2.* instances did not support AVX. The newer hardware supports AVX, but to maintain compatibility with the old hardware, it is disabled (but was still advertised, which is what caused the issue). A

It's best to understand the differences from the top down. Celery is software. PiCloud is a service. This largely dictates the automation each system is able to provide. Using PiCloud, there is no server to setup with your background proces
