Geez - Huddle was "inspired" by Padpaw, but I'm not bitter, much. Lot's of ideas get tried out, some times they stick. Other times they take 2 or 3 starts/failures before they stick

Agreed - Granting or selling shares is much more straightforward than an LLC. Plus converting an LLC to an S or C-Corp takes a lot of billable hours. So - find a lawyer local to you, and have him set up the S-Corp in your state. Don't worry

I worked there 10 years ago and if I remember correctly, the system that generated seed files wasn't on the network. They wanted an "air gap" just for this reason. And yes - the method for SecurID was long ago known - just read the patent.

Thanks Tim - getting people educated is a major obstacle. It took American Idol to get people in the US to use text messaging.

mBlox was good in getting us feedback and suggesting fixes during the process. You spend most of the time waiting for the carriers to respond to applications and testing.

Padpaw is currently using mBlox and they've been very helpful in getting us running and approved through all the carriers. We're using the XML interface for sending messages, but we might switch to SMPP if our volumes start getting insane.

Free yes, but as someone else mentioned, you don't have any guarantee of service quality. We used email-to-sms when prototyping Padpaw and got mixed results on message delivery. This is an important requirement as we're sending out change o
