Price controls? How about bloody telling the price for stuff? "How much is this procedure/appointment?" And all I get are sneers of derision or confusion. Then I'm told, "The bill will be in the mail." Yeah, we

In the truest sense of the word, if data for a given hash is on any computer, that computer can provide the data behind the hash. If that data was found 1000 years from now, and entered into the system, the data would generate the same hash

Egress filtering, or filtering packets not of the source network, would go a long way here. It wouldn't fix everything, but it would be a definite start.

The logical answer to this, which is what we're seeing in the US, is to tie every device to the corporate backend servers. This does a few things. 1. Secures endpoints down 2. Chains users to company 3. Makes cloners hard to copy produ

Oh, I certainly didn't do my homework about existing companies/websites in that market. I just couldn't think of one on top of my head (Uber, Lyft). I've also never heard of those 2 sites before. Just an idea. :)

You WILL have to hack on IPFS software, as to not release all your adapter information. Even if you tunnel all the IPFS datastream through .onion , the datastream inside will tell everyone your IP adresses, internal (unroutable) and exter

Sure can. What IPFS does, is looks at network topology to determine 'closeness' of nearby IPFS nodes. It then prefers 'closer' nodes, to speed up transactions and requests. For example, if we take Gangnam Style video, it

Because IPFS only does distributed storage . It has no processing power or logic to handle data transformations. Now, one avenue to handle that is js-ipfs. In order to update things like IPNS records, you need the private key of the node y

They should be much more careful in how these types of reportings are done. You were doing a public service of already-explited machines that are snarfing credit card numbers. And that is of great importance for anyone who buys stuff online

Not quite. IPNS. IPFS links are immutable, whereas IPNS links are a mutable pointer to an IPFS hash. They can be updated at will, making them ideal for changing content with a stable hash.
