That's still not accurate. Load up 20-30 gifs on a page and I can pretty much guarantee you'll see your browser saturate a core.

Not really. In settings where a PE is required any asshole can work on the project so ling as they're under the supervision of a PE who ultimately signs off on the whole thing. I imagine medicine (residency?) and law work similarly.

I personally am not in that situation, but people who haul diesel & other fuels out into the backwoods do exist. Batteries aren't quite as viable for that because they're way less energy dense and in general less environmental

The base model 3 is only 0.5s faster to 60 than the base E class, and that gap doesn't widen by all that much as you go up both product lines.

How do you edge cache games though? Edge caching youtube requires a giant pile of hard drives, Edge caching games requires a giant pile of hard drives and a giant pile of compute power.

If a plane can only get a GPS fix to within a 15m radius that's no big deal, whereas if a car has a 15m fix it's running down pedestrians on the sidewalk. Planes also don't have a habit of flying in tunnels or urban canyons w

How can the Bay Area have less than 1/8th the GDP of NYC when Apple’s revenue alone (~300B) is over 1/3rd of NYC’s GDP (~800B per Wikipedia)?

Alcohol isn’t a great solution for anxiety, it works short term but over the long run tends to increase feelings of anxiousness. Benzo’s are extremely dangerous and only typically used as rescue medication... if you’ve only been dealing wit

That would be a terrible idea. Aluminum can only flex so much before the metal fatigues and fails catastrophically, steel does not (so long as the stress is below a critical threshold). Aluminum framed trucks would not last nearly as long.

The difference (and why I don't think your statement is particularly true) is one of control. Businesses can and do continuously adjust pricing to reflect the market, workers cannot.

Businesses can always raise prices to cover higher costs. If they can’t, they’re not viable in the first place. Individuals on the other hand can’t generally just will more money into existence to cover higher housing costs.

The unsubsidized launch price of the base model iPhone was $499 in 2007, which would be $600~ today, not too far off from the $749 price of a base Xr, and worse than the $449 of a base 7 today.

The "global" refers to the fact that it works globally, not that it exists for the good of humanity. Navstar (owned by USDoD, what is commonly called "GPS"), GLONASS and soon Galileo all have global coverage.
