Well I think it still is a correct headline. In a linux distro, when it "support" a package means that you can contact its maintainers for help (bugs and etc) on the package. So the headline means that RHEL won't help you to

Because the egress costs money actually. Almost all cloud providers cost you for egress fee or have some limitations on egress, except Cloudflare.

I am using an 8*A100 machine from Lambda Labs, but I honestly cannot understand how it can be so cheap. I haven't found a cheaper one than this. It is even cheaper than most of spot-like interruptible offerings.

That is about availability in the CAP theorem, not consistency though.

Slightly off topic, but it seems that "cid" for identifier along with URI. How cid is generated? Is it completely random?

I am not sure neither. But this might overcome the etcd's soft storage limit of 8GB? [1] [1] https://github.com/etcd-io/etcd/issues/9771

MemoryDB has a single node (primary node) strong consistency. MemoryDB seems to have a very similar architecture to that of AWS Aurora, which separates a storage layer and compute nodes and consistency is implemented not by communicating be

I notice the spot cost has grown up for 3 months recently, especially in U.S. regions, while some other regions are not affected at all. Why is it happening to the U.S. regions especially?

Doesn't Cloudflare KV have to be used with Cloudflare Workers?

Hmm I haven't have significant issues for almost 10 years. And a few years ago Dropbox introduced a folder-level rewind feature so you can easily restore any broken folder. Anyway, YMMV.

I mean, why not? I use both git and Dropbox, because I have multiple devices to sync: laptops, a desktop, and linux servers. If you use a desktop and a laptop back and forth, git is quite inconvenient. You don't need to commit and push

I just read this post, it looks like a demo for basic operations. When I tried it at the end of the last year, ent works fine with Planetscale for basic reads. However, it fails to read when I use complex queries with Ent GraphQL integratio

I really wanted to use Planetscale, but there are two blockers: - No foreign key support - No CTE support I tried using Planetscale knowing that there is no foreign key support because it is fine to me. But I had to stop using Planetscale b

I have seen some issues around Consul these days. As a person with no background in distributed systems, I am wondering why people choose Consul over alternatives. Are there features that etcd doesn't offer?

S3 works over HTTP, which means that it is designed to work over the internet. Other protocols you mentioned, including NFS, does not work well over the internet. Some of them are exclusively designed to work within the same network, or ver

Not in PyTorch. A model is Python dictionaries containing states and Python module/class objects. I don't know why the PyTorch team did this but that happened. Maybe it boils down to the point #2 I said.

There is nothing wrong with ONNX, but rather the limitations of PyTorch. 1. PyTorch model files are neither portable nor self-contained, because PyTorch model files are pickled Python classes containing weights so you need Python class code

There is nothing wrong with committing generated code in Ent and Go. I don't know about Java but in Golang it does not create any platform-specific code in general, so committing code in the VCS would ensure reproducibility. It is stil

I started to like Go's code generation approach. Code generation make you very productive since IDE's auto-complete and code search works perfectly and snappy with the generated code. The only complaint is that it tends to make no

I have no experience in Django but in Ent with GraphQL. Ent is not a full-featured web framework so you need to implement many of features by your own or use other libraries (e.g. http server and session management). If you are only looking
