I learned PyQt(Python+Qt) and QML while making a stupid Linux app just for my own need [1]. QML is a very cool language for GUI development. Like ReactJS, QML is declarative and reactive but has a very clean syntax. Here is an example of a

Many other modern languages such as Rust and Go are aiming to officially support WASM. I don't know much about eBPF but it looks like it only support C for now.

No, QML is a language on top of JS. We need a Babel plugin that can parse the whole QML syntax first, which doesn't exist AFAIK.

> Qt QML: The JavaScript engine now supports ECMAScript 7 Wow, I'm so exited about this. I was often frustrated by QML because it supported ES5 only. I want to try the ES7 in QML as soon as possible.

Wow, I just checked it, and it looks awesome! I'm very exited about the next Qt 5.12. Thank you for letting me know.

Then try QML! You can create Qt apps using JavaScript (it's ES5 though).

That's great piece of software! I heavily use PlantUML but never found this kinds of nice editor before! As a Qt newbie, I'm curious the reason why you choose Qt Widgets instead of QML. Maybe because it is hard to make it desktop-

One thing the OP didn’t mention is that the JIT is not enabled by default. They found that it has performance improvements for only long and complex queries yet. [1] But it can be enabled by a simple configuration command: jit = on. [1]: h

Never heard of Lua's approach but that sounds interesting. What about overhead between Lua and native? I think the Python C API is one of the reason Python get popular, by doing "prototype in Python then make C codes later for per

Great article. I didn't know DataView was much slower than TypedArrays. I always prefer DataView over TypedArrays when writing protocols and file formats, because TypedArrays follows system endianness so you cannot set endianness manua

I think Apple has to consider separating Safari (and other bundled apps) from the iOS release so that users can update a quick fix through the App Store without waiting for a new iOS update. There was a serious WebAssembly regression in iOS

Well Berkeley would certainly wants to teach RISC-V since Berkeley made that architecture. But it is still great to see they are actually using it in classes!

I don't know anything about RISC-V ISA yet, but I am wondering if its ISR is great for learning computer architecture in shcools compared to MIPS, the dominant ISR at colleges for introductory computer architecture classes? The HDL (Ve

I’m very surprised. The moderators’ move is a way extreme to me. Unless they are personal attacks, deleting comments can never be good for the community. I cannot see any good reasons deleting those comments.
