It makes sense, what I was wondering though was about the difference if any of the raw DNA (SNP) data they provide.

It's already functional and live in production for many business today. It will just keep getting better, e.x. enabling LN payments without an invoice from the person accepting the payment.

Kinda saturated of the so called "censorship-free"-Patreon solutions if you follow the space, but the whole point is to not have to trust that someone won't block you. So a solution is not yet another platform but everyone (t

Too bad the whole thing was/is shadowed by the split of founders and foundation. As always with pretty much any cryptocurrency over-promises that fell short (launch was supposedly scheduled for end of last year) and greed. Cherry on-to

- You could say that for cash and internet as well, but I hate it too that currently the majority of the space is overrun by scammers & useless ICOs. - As for wallet bugs: if you're talking about Ethereum or low-quality software pr

Try checking memory of a cryptocurrency exchange. A couple gigs after some hours of activity. I would imagine that there's a memory leak, but it's weird that this performance is consistent across all 3-4 exchanges I've been u

I fail to see how this moves the discussion forward, we're talking about how effective LN could be regarding helping with scaling. Also, note the core idea of LN (updatable non-broadcasted Bitcoin TXs with incentive-based security and

I was talking about Lightning Network nodes, not Bitcoin. Bitcoin at one point was at this stage but through iterations and continuous improvement it evolved to being able to secure all those funds. The point is that it's disingenuous

Wow, I guess it's dead then /s It's an evolving software still in pre-alpha state. But the core idea is solid and if you follow the development you'll see the strides of progress that is being done on all fronts. To your

Pretty underwhelming to have the top challenges outsourced to bounty-based RFPs. With the money they got any kind of centralization because of overpromises is a huge failure in my book. Really disappointed by the greed that ICOs have brough

They screwed it up badly. If you checked BTC/BCH, there were open orders buying 1 BCH for 3 BTC, which is totally ridiculous. Obviously there was some effort on pumping it a lot. Coinbase basically did one of the most basic mistakes fo

Neither am I, just in this case I know some context that lead me to this question. SegWit being pretty much the most important update to Bitcoin so far with a lot of advantages, I would expect that CB would give top priority on supporting i

There's a very simple solution if you care about security. Buy a hardware wallet (e.g. Trezor in my example) note down the 24 words that are basically your privatekey. But enable the passphrase (25th word/phrase) which you type yo

Talking about clean-energy yet failing to compare CO2 emissions but merely refer to GWhrs is totally missing the point. Several big Bitcoin miners are setup near or just being powered by hydroelectric dams or other renewable energy sources.

I am mostly commenting on a big amount of comments deeming Bitcoin a failure or similar. The Bitcoin of ~a month ago is not the same as today, that's a big power, to have upgradable decentralized money. Certainly Bitcoin is not perfect
