They test the cards so that they can sell the card list and promote such a sale with assertions about how much of it is good (100% tested, etc). These brokers don't want to get involved in any significant fraudulent charges for various

I'm both surprised and really not that your CFIs make fun of pointing and calling, then again I've encountered CFIs who don't know things AOPA Air Safety has been hammering on for years.

The 777 was a clean sheet design that incorporated fly-by-wire as it was designed in the late 1980s/early 1990s. Thusly it cannot be operated without the computers running, whereas the 737 can and has. Its also 4 times larger than th

Theatre tech here, screw terminal blocks are not rated for being in any sort of flexing situation nor are they very good at stranded cable. It would be a better idea to get a cable specifically designed to break out to 3 IEC connectors.

The tool crib checkout is done on computer at least. The toolbox inspections might be fudged. It also might be downstream or upstream of the Boeing factories, like at one of the companies that manufactures major components (example: Spiri

Its by airframe, not by military or civilian. The military airframes are made in the same factory as the corresponding civilian airframe, its just flown to a different facility (In Seattle or such) to be built out with the required milita

I think its probably a lack of supervision and not a lack of protocols, if it were a lack of protocols the 787s assembled in Everett would have the same issues. Also, I have personally observed the use of protocols to prevent this in tour

Based on the last time I was in the Everett factory (3 years ago), Boeing requires all machinists have foam cutouts in their toolboxes and that every tool is returned to the toolbox at the end of the shift. Tools checked out from the tool

I think Boeing is getting smacked in the face by a change in pilot skill levels and areas that has been happening around the world since the 90's. Boeing is in a really bad position to specify minimum training requirements, since any t
