Looks awesome, do you mind expanding a bit on how the GUI/animations were built?

Guess people got tired from all these now-i'm-here-now-i'm-closed little SaaS CRUD projects that everyone and their grandmother is building using same tech. And people hate promotions that are not said to be promotions openly, but

Well is it a problem of people not knowing about job opportunities or recruiters not knowing about people pool? I personally think that no, it isn't and everyone good enough will land a job, degree or not. I think the real issue is raising

I have been Linode customer since sometime 2008 I think till last month, when I fully migrated to Digital Ocean to two, individually better instances for half the price than my one box at Linode. I was running Gentoo at London DC without an

In internal combustion engines with manual transmission be sure not to overdo that, high gear and very low RPMs are bad for the engine/transmission due to high load and minimal oil lubrication, it's also not efficient on fuel, there were lo

Last I had to work on a video transcoder using ffmpeg, most codecs were not easily parallelized. That's what might have happened here, even though Linode has 4 cores, core vs core comparison it gets beaten.

I've never heard of Digital Ocean. Are they reliable? Do they have a DNS manager comparable to Linode? (I have no aspirations of running multiple Bind instances on my own, thanks). I might consider moving off Linode for pricing alone.

I have Lenovo T420 as work laptop, it costs nearly as much as my unibody 13" MBP did in 2010, except it has a shitty trackpad, keyboard (which isn't backlit, instead they have this useless lamp at the top of the screen), the screen doesn't

I agree on your point about visual indexing. There's one more reason I prefer paper books - when I read a book, I take something from it, be it technical knowledge, be it "self help" type of advise. When this book is sitting there near my w
