You are of course totally right, it wouldn't be possible. However it is possible to have large corporations and growth but also do it in a responsible manner. It won't be an overnight fix but there are a lot of smart people in thi

Milwaukee uses this system too, unfortunately there's not a map of just ShotSpotter results.

I would imagine it's not compatible because of Bluetooth 4. I had a similar issue with my MacBook vs iMac using that Authy two-factor authentication app that was talked about a couple of months ago.

So angry. Did you design Courier New or something? > 1337hax0ll > hackers != designers I guess not, so there's no reason.

I didn't think of it that way either, and I agree that it's a good point. I think the difference is that the drone is more of a mass-surveillance device where the individual cameras aren't (quite as much). A good analogue mig

From the follow-up posts on the list I take it Blender is already popular with the mod community and they are trying to make Blender easier to install and get going to make a mod.

I think that's the finer point that's missed when Slashdot (or most of Reddit) is brought up: "troll culture at its very core". Even though the quality of discussion on HN might ebb and flow, or there might be more negat

That's the same argument that you see on Reddit: "If only people would downvote things on /r/[x]/new they didn't want to see". But obviously that's not making much of a difference. There's just n

The only reason I would disagree with that idea is that it would prevent the author from a linked site from joining the discussion if they didn't already have an account.

I have a 5-digit uid there and remember when it really was a great site. But the comments started to become pretty terrible almost immediately. I still visit it every day just to skim the articles, but only about 20% of them are interesting

I was a big fan of ProggyClean but Source Code Pro converted me. And it works in more places. (If only there was an italic version. Syntax highlighting can look weird.)

I would have to second this. I can see how one would get that impression if the only exposure to him is an article or two that gets linked from somewhere else, but if you read him regularly he posts a lot of very even handed articles and gi
