You've just got to pick the right bulbs. I tested out a Feit LED bulb in one of my kitchen can fixtures and it was totally indistinguishable from the other incandescents so I replaced all of them. 13 watts each instead of 65, and they

I'm sure there's some penalty you would see using a benchmark, but I enabled FileVault on a 2011 MacBook Pro with an SSD in it a couple of years ago and I didn't notice any difference at all with day-to-day usage. I also have

I'm happy to be one of them. I honestly barely use it, but I had a ton of bookmarks at Delicious that I was uncomfortable about losing. $11/yr means they stick around, plus I do still stuff links in there every now and then.

Holy shit this is so cool. I will never have a need for this but it's really amazing to poke around with. It kind of feels like Wireshark for files instead of packets. They also have a web version[0] with a bunch of example files if yo

They were pretty ridiculous. After one meal I was looking around in the refrigerator within an hour, and after another I could have literally eaten another whole portion as soon as I finished. We cancelled after the first week. Now I'm

Yep, I agree. On the specs front it was a good deal but the upgradability wasn't there. I hope they learned from this in that sense, but I'm not holding my breath. I really want a new version of the cheese grater, but if that&#x

Sorry, I worded that funny. Federighi confirmed it so it's not a rumor now, but I meant that they had heard those rumors before this announcement.

Right now it's not worth more than $1,000. When it was released it was competitive with other workstation-class desktops. $3–4k is a normal price for that kind of hardware, it's not trying to compete with a Dell Inspiron.

The Pro is one line, there are just two screen sizes. The 9.7" Pro has the same processor as the larger pro and has compatibility with the pencil. The new 9.7" non-pro has the lower end chip and no pencil.
