The link in your comment doesn't have anything to do with what you've said.

You pay for a Grindr subscription through Apple using IAP. Grindr presumably wouldn’t be allowed to use Stripe given their terms of use. If one wanted to create something like Grindr but as a website instead of an app, the options for payme

I also edited out something unnecessary. But maybe Stripe could be pushing back against those limitations or helping to find other solutions. Apple seems to be able to (see Grindr).

I think it also must help that a lot of these developers already have a bunch of ARM code running on iOS, so along with Catalyst and I’m sure shared libraries between their existing iOS/Mac apps it was probably easier to get builds out

"Complete denial that this is real" comes from... literally people denying that it's real, all over the place. You'd have to be under a rock to not have seen this being said. My own father is one of them. As to the rest

That’s highly dependent on where you are. In Minneapolis everyone is wearing them, but drive out a little bit and many aren’t. There’s still a huge number of people in complete denial that this is real.

The citizens here in the US do not appear to be interested in “nuanced views” at the moment.

I agree with the second sentence, I'm hopeful the first isn't true (although I see the worry). The stories I've been reading about who he's using as economic advisors give me hope. But it all has to get through Congress

Exactly. Would I have loved to see Bernie/Warren as a president? Yes. Do I think a boring centrist president is for the best right now to deal with this pandemic and the upcoming recession? Also yes.

I’ve never heard of the ESP8266, but I have heard of (and used, for several projects) the RPi. That’s probably the reason for a lot of people.

I literally started watching TikToks because of the pandemic. One month of "shelter at home" encourages a ton of media consumption and it can easily be on your phone.

My Discover Weekly was really garbage awhile back until I made an effort to listen to a bunch of music of different genres that I'm into for a week or two. Also make a point to favorite stuff you'd actually like to listen to again

I lusted after Power Computing's stuff back then, and their marketing was so great. I just ate up the "Let's kick Intel's ass" underdog vibe. Of course then a couple years later all the new Macs were Intel.
