Don't think we've ever seen Hollywood in the modern era without unions, so not sure how you can claim it's "undeniable" the industry is better off. We basically have no clue if it's better off or not. Unions ar

Morgan Housel consistently writes great essays. Crazy to me how much he puts out at such a high quality level. I have submitted a few and upvoted a few but think this is one of the first ones to make it to the front page.

Incentives are powerful, and typically get the result they are incentivizing in the end. All taxes are a form of incentive, we should always be careful of taxing things that we want more of. If you favor a wealth tax, you are implicitly arg

Everyone building no code tools is learning or will learn that the problem most businesses have is not a lack of coding skill, or the inability to build the algorithm, but rather how to structure and model data in a sensible way in the firs

I don't think the author is advocating that founders take on a ton of of personal debt, just that historically it was a filtering function that is now absent. I would imagine that this filter function can be replaced by something else

Small, local, and diverse are antifragile qualities - farms with all their eggs in one basket are suffering, and those with optionality and flexibility are thriving. Like many things in life.
