If you are working with Node.js and Postgresql, give tabel( https://github.com/fractaltech/tabel ) ORM a shot. It is an unconventional ORM that works with pure JS objects and arrays, instead of "Model" classes,

I don't find it too hard to accept the concept of "the universe as a well meaning entity". The only premise you need to accept in order to come to this conclusion is to not view your consciousness as a unique snowflake. Imagi

Here's my 2 cents on why software developers will never be at the risk of automation: https://medium.com/@kapv89/code-will-always-be-written-207d3...

Stop using redux. Try and use react independently. You'll realize redux is completely unneeded. In fact, even flux is unneeded.

I used to be this guy, ie, who cares but not too much. A big reason why I switched to node. Let's me think less about code (JS everywhere), and more about the problem at hand.

I am using react-native for my startup too, and we thought of doing something like exponent before going the way we are going now. A great option for exponent, once it reaches a certain level of maturity, can be a new type of browser.

I have used it just fine in Java. "dependency injection" looks a lot like lists-of-lists... And SICP talks about a lot more than any particular constructs. Its the sort of book you can come back to, and take what you need to go fu

- Read SICP - Understand how all programs can be written as lists of lists of lists... and so on - Pick up the language that you work in. Identify what construct of that language allows you to approximate scheme/lisp lists. For me this

I have a phobia of insects(not if they are small enough for me to notice their details), crabs, prawns etc. All the not-animal-like-life, to be honest. One day, at a supermarket, a friend of mine teased me with a crab in her hand. Later tha
