It's easy to see that checked exceptions are bad... no other language tried to copy the idea. A worthy experiment, but that's all. What else did not get copied? Classloaders.

I've seen people saying Google have effectively given up indexing the entire web. Pages older than 10 years don't tend to get indexed anymore, for example. Similar for search in gmail.

Clojure is more of a case of stability rather than death. Most libs have not needed updating in 7 years. Compare that to other languages which frequently "trigger the libs" ;-)

Is the bit by bit construction of the protein an issue? I mean, surely the first half would have already folded into some shape by the time the second half was be added on? And then the rest of it would not necessarily fold the same way as
