You are directly responsible for yourself and anyone you employ. You have some responsibility for the actions of those you do business with insomuch as you can stop doing business with them. Lets start here.

Have a look for yourself: https://github.com/neovim/neovim/commits/master . The code base is now about half of the original size (removed support for legacy OSes, swap all native IO abstractions for libuv, rem

The answer of course is no. The degree to which we think its shit is related to how much we know about related fields and the size of the effect among others. The prior isn't binary. For the topic at hand, ESP would most likely inval

This sounds like very bad advice for tax consequences. Is an IOU tax deductible? Does one declare IOUs in an 83b election? Beyond tax implications and VCs, the IOU system strikes me as particularly terrible advice. In what realm is it re

Airbnb residents are often a nightmare for other tenants in the same building- they often function as de facto customer support and are forced to put up with the extra noise. Beyond the legality, this business model is plagued by extremes.

I don't think any in depth analysis is really needed for the US. Lack of density is certainly a problem, but not the main one. In nearly every major market, broadband is dominated wholly by a single company through municipally grante

The majority of Californians probably don't support the law- it passed a referendum. Moreover, the critical partnerships for Mozilla are with people who heavily oppose it.

Sure, the SDK is the same, but the UI is tottaly different. Just setting up the project in Idea will take a day or two (because the UI is bad).

While you write that you want to avoid alienation, your language is inflammatory. Beyond that, the scientific method is not vastly superior (morally?) to religion. The one is a system for examining that which is discoverable while the othe

Oh I didn't mean exclusively in terms of time. Using a quasi open source editor means you are invested into the future of the editor itself (see TextMate). Having said that, Jetbrains has been around for a while and Idea is kick ass

Idea is abysmal at editing ruby/node, even with the plugins for those environments. He could grab webstorm and ruby mine? but that would be quite an investment.

If this were a viable model, I'd have to assume someone would be doing it. How would a VC even go about chasing ... everything but the fat tail? How would the VCs get a return if they did figure that out? 30$ million self sustaining
