I agree, personally as a CS Student, I gave contributing to open source a shot and I felt like it really helped me a lot. Joining a project's slack, chatting with maintainers, developing features with docs and tests and code reviewing

To be clear, yes there are alot of different sects in Islam but in Islam there is one core thing that no matter what, it never changes and that is the Quran (Islam holy book). How its preserved is an entirely different topic but its a book

As a Muslim, I can confirm we only do it because we reject idol worship and the visual depiction of any living being, particularly prophets. We dont believe in any power being present in statues. Just wanted to let you know :)

Probably one benefit is having flights available and running 24/7, human pilots can only fly so many a day

I think pirating is a serious issue in other countries (i.e mine), I practically never saw anyone actually pay for any office suite, adobe software and some offline games. All of them get pirated and very quickly too.

google had this capability for a long time, if you want to search for a result in a specific site, you need to type in the search site:www.reddit.com. i.e: " some error site:www.stackoverflow.com"
