Yes you can, what do you think "Block users who have a feedback score equal to or lower than X" means? X can be set to 10 if you want. That imgurl I linked to was directly from my eBay account.

Wow. I would have dumped it and never used them again. I was having a bit of a "debate" with a friend of mine who bought the new MBP a few months ago. We are both C# developers so we have no real use of the Mac features, and he was running

Apparently all your friend had to do was raise a claim as "item not as described"... But yeah, I get your point and try to avoid eBay as much as possible, although sometimes, very rare now, I have no choice. It eats me up inside when I do t

I'm the same. I sold a few things on eBay a few months ago, nothing of great value, some old Nokia 8850's I had lying around and 2 Raspberry Pi's I had purchased but not used. I photographed everything, against a verifiable backdrop (in thi

I'm the same, just don't want the hassle of eBay/Paypal scams. Unless it is a very specialist item for which I need to reach a large audience, which I have very little of worth any value anyway. You may say you get less for your money than

The annoying thing is that these things are often used to stop other developers stealing stuff, like the the disable right click so you can't steal my images . Someone I know has an old website in flash that he had done that way so peopl

Sounds like an awful lot of work finding a problem which there are easier solution. What exactly do you not like about using Dropbox? A trust issue? There are certain things I do host within my own ftp server, but I just use my web host whi

Or zip it up with something like 7zip, encrypt it with a password and tell it to encrypt the filenames as well so Google can't peek inside :)

I think attachment sizes were also limited because back in the day, you know when Internet connectivity was a series of beeps and clicks, people used to surf the internet on these shitty little things called modems that ran at 33.6 and 56 k

To be fair, I had a backup by doing a simple export, it was about a month old so I didn't lose anything important (and reason I did it this way) but the fact it worked that way did annoy me. I just like the way the Google products are much

I only use Firefox for development now, mainly for Firebug (and related plugins) but now I am starting to use the Chrome dev tools much much more. The only plugin I am missing to fully ditch FF is Selenium IDE. I stopped using FF when I lef

I started using an ad blocker because I got annoyed at all the personalized ads I was seeing. I'd go to a website, view cost of item, every ad I then see related to that store/product. It got to a point where is was a little freaky and stal

Then why don't they just charge the card before they ship... and if that fails then they send you an email saying so, amend your details within 48 hours or it ships to the next person in line. Not exactly difficult.

The author posted the original article on 17th Dec 2010 and an update on 11th Dec 2011. So not sure how this made it to the front page of HN. Not surprised the author doesn't address the response.
