If you're willing to fund overhead and give up the direct-to-recipient portion, you "should" contribute to PIH because nonprofits have a much easier time covering their program costs compared to overhead costs. Nobody wants to contribute to

FYI, Karma's best mechanic is that you send a gift to a recipient without entering cc info; then when the recipient accepts, you become socially obligated to complete the payment process. It also asks the recipient for their address, so you

Does anyone have more information about this? Saw this last year, thought it was a cool idea (with a great name!), haven't heard a peep since. It's like asking frequent lottery ticket buyers to promise 1% of their future winnings for charit

Oh my god, thumbkissing. "A feature called 'thumbkissing' shows your partners thumbprints whenever they’re touching the screen, and both phones will vibrate if your thumbs are on the same place." This is clearly the best YC startup ever. Hu

(For the unwary / spoiler alert: HumbledMBA is Jason Freedman's personal blog, it's popular on HN, and Jason recently started 42Floors, so this is basically a startup acquisition blog post parody. Unless I'm totally missing something.)

This is a great experiment given how many YC teams change their idea midway. For teams who have many ideas (but have not implemented any), would you advise them to a) pick one and apply through the normal process (thus demonstrating they're
