I've recently (~1y) moved back to Windows as a primary 'desktop' OS for development. By day I'm a rails developer. I've worked extensively on windows (back in PHP days), Linux (when I was doing HPC software) and Mac

This confuses me a little -- the UK has the direct debit guarantee which is incredibly ironclad. If I think something is funny, I call the bank and the money is back in my account immediately -- without argument or any reason required. The

Yep -- you can help out, but as soon as you figure out if it's for you, your first "appointment" is ASL. It's essentially what you want from it -- don't consider them "levels" but different roles. They

I volunteer, but not for anything related to software development. I'm an ASL (Assistant Scout Leader) for a scout troop in London. I enjoyed my time in the scouts as a kid, and i figured if i was only able to enjoy it as others gave u

I got my first dev job after Uni at the sister company to Allinea, so I know and have had a beer or three with most of the people involved. Will admit to having worked near them for nearly 2 years and still not understanding fully what they
