Seems like the guys covering his ass. Ive had visas denied in japan over small errors. I dont use visa lawyers anymore and no longer have this issue. Might ofc also be that the immigration officers got tired of working till 10pm every day

Philips as far as im aware doesnt contribute that much anymore. NXP split off forever ago. Philips may have build TSMC together with the taiwanese government but its hardly relevant nowadays.

I personally do the opposite and use high contrast mode plus low brightness to safe battery on my non adaptive backlight lcd laptop. It also doesnt make any sense to do this considering brightness is relative. If im wrong about this please
