I'd suggest making this more clear on your pricing page -- I was initially interested, but confused about what a subscription meant to existing apps.

12. iPad. Windows has had tablets since 2001. The focus on feature-by-feature comparisons is why Apple is cleaning everyone's clock. I wrote this 2 years ago when the iPad came out ( http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1025200 ): ------- In

Great comment. I think the difficulty in defining what makes a good teacher is as difficult as what defines a good parent. In rough terms, I think a good parent means someone who raises a compassionate, honest child. Similarly, a good teach

Really interesting. I use Notational Velocity to keep track of text snippets, but it doesn't have the "see also" feature. I imagine it could be very useful.

Great article, and very true in my experience. One of my favorite, unexpected benefits of blogging is it's like a time-machine/memory dump for your brain. Here's what I mean. When you're thinking about a problem, you struggle, and struggle,

Agreed. The whole "Einstein was bad a school" seems to be a myth based on a misinterpretation of the 1-6 system (apparently Germany and Switzerland had them reversed). Some more discussion to the origins here: http://skeptics.stackexchange

The wii is a great example of a system that everyone has and nobody plays. I can't count the number of times I've visited people's houses with the wii unused. All the casual gamers Nintendo attracted won't be buying another system again.

I was shocked when I looked at this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_statutory_minimum_emplo... The US has 0 (zero!) mandated days off. Even China gives people 5-15 days minimum.

Thanks for the pointer! I enjoy discussions about .999... because it really makes us question what we mean about infinity (and assumptions about the reals).
