Think of universe as a reinforcement learning system. A system where its creatures are subject to a cost-function, the output of which is pain and suffering. You'll see how important it is for this world to evolve.

Would love to hear it. I'm mainly concerned about the trackpad, wifi performance and power consumption.

I'm honestly thinking of switching to Thinkpad X1 Carbon now, but I HATE windows. And from what I've heard, Linux doesn't bode well with it. Anybody here Linux running on X1 Carbon?

As a guy who writes code for a living, one of my biggest fears is losing eyesight. Looking at this guy, I fear a little less now :) There is definitely a need for the tech to evolve for blind programmers.

I partly agree with you. But its a fact that you can't just start learning assembly if you have never learned C in the first place. So, young devs, please start learning C first.

How can you compare a programming language and a memory store? How are they even remotely comparable? Redis needs a syntax to exchange data with clients in a human-readable way. Honest question: Why do you hate Redis?

I wonder how will a Git based client-side agent fit in. Why not use an already proven tech for the rollout, and then use custom installation scripts (also within the git repo) for doing software setup? The "server" here will just

I wonder what kind of data WhatsApp could be sharing with FB, given the fact that actual conversations are end-to-end encrypted. I imagine it could be something like 1) When do you sleep/wake-up, 2) Enumerating people in your social ci

If these meetings were actually "standups", it wouldn't be bad. But for me, sadly, they rarely have been shorter than 20-25 minutes, which makes them just another time waster.
