Like everything in UK law it is interpretation (of a police officer and a judge and your defense) and any given circumstance. If you sleep in the back of a camper van with the key in the glove box and the doors locked a police officer would

Waiting for governments to get EVs to a +50% market share and then slather the taxes on with a trowel, including a battery recycling fee payable by the consumer. I can't see this ending well for the consumer. Maybe I'm being pessi

thing is, reddit is visually appealing. It's a list of links in purest form. If it wasn't saturated with gifs, images and shitposting, it would be ideal UX. It works quite well in Lynx (the comnand line browser on Linux) which i

To me, Slack is just IRC without any of the fun. I was encouraged to join some rooms for work, but then 1000 notifications later I realized that nothing of value gets discussed and that our boss was also invited, so he was seeing all the ir

Having to keep the phone unlocked while walking is a killer, the battery dies pretty fast. How is that I can go for a run and fitness apps can track me via geo-location, serving notifications as I go, but PG can't?

If any HN users are interested in car prices in Norway this is where you can see prices for new, used and leasing. This is the go-to (essentially only) marketplace for cars here : https://www.finn.no/car/used/searc

I think you missed the point being made by the person you replied to. The only 10.04 install you should encounter exists due to ignorance and not due to upgrade cost as with a non-open OS. XP/Vista/7/8/10 don't get

it's not about what MS put in VS and VSCode, it's about changing the minds of .NET developers who used are to C# syntax/grammar and hate Python because it doesn't fit their world-view. "Already in VS" is meanin

I just over-log absolutely everything. If it fails log it. If it succeeds and you might need to know about it, log it. That's not great error handling, but it helps with debugging.
