I don’t see why a 25-50% speed up is a bad thing. Speeding up a language as widely used as Python by even 10% is likely to result in massive productivity gains.

I had a relatively mild case of COVID (SpO2 > 95% throughout with zero respiratory symptoms). But I lost the ability to smell and taste. I don’t have any lingering symptoms that I know of. But it feels like my mind has been on autopilot.
