My guess is that sharing from Linux would give you more options in terms of how to work around the copy protection. I don't know if you use Docker, but a seriously weird sharing workaround could be to use a Samba share to mount in Find

Depending on your setup, you might could stream the DVDs over your network. Surely you could somehow share the drive.

Have you contemplated ripping the DVDs and/or using a streaming service? I wouldn't limit my options to just having a DVD if that means compromising everything else, especially if the computer is for work.

Press Shift + F10 to launch the command prompt then type in 'OOBE\BYPASSNRO' and press Enter. The system will reboot and you can proceed without a MS account. I did this a couple of times lately on a bare metal install as well as

I used MS Teams via a web browser using Linux for a couple of years. Should support video calling via WebRTC.

It won't install tensorfow on a Mac Mx series without hacking a custom config. I gave up on Poetry after that and try to stick with pip now.

Interesting you mentioned using X-plane 12 on your M1. I had considered doing the same. Currently play MS Flight Simulator sometimes via XBox Cloud Gaming, over a VPN to Nicaragua. It isn't bad, but X-plane seems like it could be be

I usually use it for a lot of programming-related tasks in languages or stacks I may be less familiar with, so my verification process is usually just me checking the code or getting test cases to pass.
